Was there a quartz "Spirotechnique"?

I had a battery powered quartz that is a dead ringer for the Spirotechnique 200-meter dive watch, except mine was listed as "Professional" and "1000-meters", that's not a typo (1000-m)

I'm thinking this was a transitional "economy" model of the more expensive dive watch.

The numbers off the back of my old battery powered quartz were as follows 980-023N

Anyone have a history on the watch and the period where Heuer transitioned over to TAG??

regards, P
