Ok, to be fair it was purchased back in the 1970's but even accounting for the current value of that 1970's $1, still considered a crazy find.

If you read further down the thread then you find estimated values in the six figure region - that makes this a $100,000+ watch.
Personally I'm so happy the 89 year old owner stumbled across some honest & helpful people otherwise he could have let it go at a few hundred dollars.
No matter what, its a great read.
