If enough of us demonstrate to Chuck just how easy it is to produce these "serious amateur" style photos, maybe he will follow through on his urge / undertaking to improve his photo set-up.

I mean, he knows numerous programming languages, the entire history of the Omega Speedmaster (almost by individual serial numbers), all about Macs, and a fair amount about every other subject we have ever discussed (movies, guns, cars, etc.), and seems to have a fair amount invested in a decent-sized watch collection, so why he is still taking photos of his watches with the used Brownie that he got for his 7th birthday.

And the old coal miner's lantern, while a neat old collectible, is really not giving Chuck the lighting that he needs.

Come on, Chuck. Get that new lighting set-up!!
