F1 "grooved-slick" strap...pics and thoughts >>> *PIC*

fellas...just got this cool (IMO) strap. it's nice.

of course it does indeed resemble a current formula-1 grooved slick tire.

generally in construction it's quite similar to the omnipresent pres-o and ridg-o straps, however it's made of a much softer soft apparently silicone-based compound, so it's quite comfortable (whereas the ridg-o/pres-o that are quite hard). i got a 20mm strap and it appears to taper to 18mm, which i like (whreas the ridg-o/pres-o are untapered). the clasp is a modest folded-metal deployant w/ pushbutton release and a flip-lock (same as on the ridg-o/pres-o). in addition, it's quite thick where it enters the lugs (unlike the ridg-o/pres-o which are have minimal thickness in this area).

i like it alot for it's grooved-slick-tire look and for it's comfort on the wrist.
