Abercrombie Fitch chronograph

I recently bought the watch below and wondered if any members could furnish any further info.
I have a number of AF and Heuers but I don't profess to know anything about them...
I presume this is a 30 or 40s rebranded Heuer. There doesn't appear to be much info on early Heuers
on the net.... or maybe im searching the wrong way.
I'm not a Heuer collector but this appealed to me, its in pretty good nick considering its age.
