Future Classics?

Sort of following on from the thread yesterday regarding a Tag Heuer re-edition Carrera, I started thinking about other "new" Heuers. How does everyone feel about the re-issues, especially the limited edition models. For instance, there have been more than a dozen limited edition Monacos with "limited" numbers ranging from 5000 units down to 55, are these likely to be considered good investments for the future or will they always be the slightly dissapointing relative. Aesthetically these re-issues are not always as well received as their original counterparts but is there a strong place for them in our market, now and in the future? Prices dont seem to have shifted much for most of these watches, Silverstones, Carreras, Monacos (apart from some of the really limited pieces) etc. generally seem to sell for no more than their original prices and often for less, will it always be this way?

Best wishes to all

Jon
