Yes, Exotics Were Sold Through Dealers
In Response To: Exotic Friday ()

Congratulations, Jamey. It's a great looking watch . . . beautiful condition!!

Once, folks suggested that these were prototypes, but we continue to hear of original owners, who bought them through normal retail channels. In all likelihood, just another model, that had very low production with many of them sitting on the shelves for a long while.

Interesting that it's the ones that sold so poorly back in the day, that are in such demand now.

Enjoy this one!!

Jeff

: This just arrived today after a few extra days with fedex because
: of the storm here in the NE. Purchased in Belguim from a guy who
: claims he bought in early 80's from a Heuer dealer. Spent most
: of life in a drawer. Who knows with these pieces but I am a
: happy camper regardless of story. Thanks to Abel for the quick
: gasket change and crystal and thanks to DD for signing for the
: box!

: Enjoy the weekend everyone
