Favorite Heuer Elements #11

Hi all,

the fantastic post from Paolo_B about endlinks and GF bracelets made me think that I always liked three things about Heuer chronograph: the Heuer logo shield in all its declinations (especially on the metal bracelets), the colorful dials of the '70 and the Chronomatic movement.

a) the Heuer shield on the bracelets.
When I was a child I remember I liked that strange logo put on the nose of all the Ferrari F1 cars and on the jacket of my godfather (he was a timekeeper), but I think I unconsciously"removed" this image until some years ago when I bought my first TAG Heuer Carrera...
Here some examples, so different but with that unique "family feeling":

b) the colorful watches of the '70 era:
Even if all the great collectors are moving (or have moved) towards '60 Carrera and Autavia, elegant and austere in their black and white (and too much expensive for my wallet), I'm a rookie and probably my taste has to grow again, so I still felt in love with '70 models. The most colorful Heuer I own are probably these two (the GMT image is not mine but is from Noodia, the original owner of the watch, so I beg his perdon in advance for using it) and are two of my favorite:

c) the Cal. 11 (and its declinations) movement: it's a pity that no Heuer watch had the transparent caseback (as the modern watches sometimes have) because I always thought that is a crime to hide a movement when makes "tic-toc" and the balance wheel oscillates... fortunately nowadays you can have this (unfortunatey not mine but found here some time ago) and I decided I want it because this is real porn:

Cheers.

Gianluca
