Always interesting to see a Carrera at auction

Considering the first-execution dial Carreras are some of my very favorite watches, I'm always intrigued to see them come up for auction. I think they're fairly undervalued, and it's a rare sight to see a black dial 2447 come up for sale. I noticed this one in the catalog right away!

BTW, Hodinkee is having a sale in New York at Bergdorf Goodman, where they're selling a decimal-dial 2447 as well as an early-reference Seafarer. Might be worth stopping by...
