There are Markets and There are Markets

Here are two Skippers offered today, the first one for sale at a vintage watch trunk show, hosted by Hodinkee at Bergdorf Goodman, on Fifth Avenue in New York City . . . the price? $7,350. It's a nice looking watch and I expect that someone will be delighted to buy it.

The second had a hammer price of $2,500 and final price of $3,000, at DuMouchelles, a local Detroit auction house, with online bidding handled by LiveAuctioneer.

There's a big difference between Bergdorf Goodman, on Fifth Avenue, and DuMouchelles, in Detroit. Yes, there are markets and there are markets. Keep searching for the bargains, guys . . . we know they are out there!!
