Strong Price for Seafarer Ref 2444 on eBay ($9,200)

This one appears to have sold for $9,200, on eBay. Here's the listing -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/251748449750

Makes me think that the one sold by Bonhams last week (shown below) was a bargain, at $7,845. Read about that one here -- http://www.onthedash.com/thoughts/auction-report-december-2014/

Interesting that these are "consecutive" executions of the Seafarer, with the Bonhams watch being the second version of the Reference 2443 Seafarer and the eBay watch being the first version of the Reference 2444 model. Both watches appear to be in excellent condition and entirely original, although the Reference 2444 watch appears to have some water damage along the edge of the dial.

So which of these two would you choose for yourself?

Jeff
