Re: Crotavia or Nivadia?
In Response To: Re: Crotavia or Nivadia? ()

Way to go Jeff! I spotted an Omega chronograph earlier this year with a Landeron movement in it. This put me on tilt! I put in a ridiculous bid and won it and then informed the seller (from S America) that I would not pay because it was a fake and would report it to ebay if he tried to collect or relist it. Never saw it again. An effective way to slam the door on fakers. I have been thinking for some time now to start a Fake Busters club/forum and get enough members to do this all the time. Fakes are totally out of control on ebay and they NEVER do anything about it. Craig

: I told him that I planned on winning the auction and not paying
: him; and that I trusted that I could convince eBay that it was a
: fake if it came down to that. Then the seller and I engaged in a
: nice dialogue and I'm partially convinced that he does not have
: bad intentions. I have faith that it will be removed, but if it
: isn't, I'll be the winner and nobody will be taken.
