Thats my first post here, I'm hanging out mostly at WUS but I have a specific question and thought that this discussion board is more suitable for it.
I got an offer for a Heuer 2447 for a very reasonable price but the watch itself has some flaws, as I have to drive few hundred km to inspect it in person, I wanted to ask about your opinion first how much the missing parts are hard to find are how costly could they be? in worst case, does it makes sense to get the watch for his parts value and trade value in the case I'm not keen for hunting the missing parts for years? I mean, would a Heuer enthusiast consider it in this condition for trade or buying? (if theoretically the movement is complete and in working condition)
As far I can see, the chapter ring is missing(probably the plexi was changed) and there's no central second hand(movement issues unknown)...if you can spot some other flaws, please let me know. Except these 3 photos that the seller sent me, I dont now much till I see it in person and I don't want too ask too much questions about. Regarding its authenticity so far,I have no doubts about.
