Beautiful but too expensive

Aesthetically it's a home run. 39mm case, classic panda dial, the choice of telemeter scale over tachy is a strange one but still looks great. And when I read it'd be powered by a Sellita movement, I thought Wow, it's classic style, classic size AND it'll be less expensive, maybe $4,000 - 4,500 USD.
And then they announced pricing at $6,400 USD. For a steel watch with a Sellita movement. Considering this was the low-end pricing estimate for the in-house, column wheel CH80 chronos, I think this watch would ultimately be a bit of a waste of money for most collectors.
That said, though, if I already had at least one example of every vintage Carrera and Autavia that I wanted, and had an extra 7 grand to throw away, I'd probably buy this one as an everyday watch.
