We Have All Heard of Longines "Weems"; Here's Heuer Weems

Watch enthusiasts have heard of the "Weems" watches, made by Longines and used for the Weems system of navigation.

But until this morning, I had not noticed the name "Weems" on this dial of a Heuer stopwatch.

So here is a Heuer Stopwatch, Reference 542.213, circa 1970, sold by Weems & Plath, manufacturers and sellers of fine navigational instruments. You can read more about Weems & Plath, HERE.

Isn't it absolutely amazing how many co-branded Heuers we have seen . . . from the most well known (Ferrari and Tiffany), to the most obscure. Yes, there is a story behind every name that appears on the dial!!
