I Have Never Seen One Like This

The case and hands seem to be the usual 2446C (snap-back), from the late 1960's.

The dial looks pretty much like those used in the later 73663 Autavias. I say "pretty much", because I have never seen an Autavia with the enlarged 30-minute recorder (at three o'clock).

so we face the usual questions:

  • Is this one put together -- older case and newer dial?
  • Is the dial original (limited production, protptype or one-off) or refinished?

The dial certainly appears to have the proper factory finish . . . still odd to be used in this case.

Maybe other readers have additional information or opinions.

Thanks for the question.

Jeff
