Maybe Jeff or Bernard can chime in with their knowledge of this, but I would think that many of Heuer's larger dealers wouldn't have greatly appreciated the Viceroy special as it would cut into their own sales. I would imagine that MG Mittens and other racing retailers which advertised in many of the same magazines that the Viceroy special ads were inserted probably got access to the $88 specials (at retail, so less than $88 cost to the dealer) if they complained hard enough.
