A bit of background on the Skipperera

A lovely way to finish your Carrera theme Mick !

The Skipper / Carrera is as rare as rocking horse droppings & an amazing mix of colours. It has gained a number of names by association such as the Skipperera & the Colin Chapman model but for more recent readers you may be interested to know that this model was not widely known to the forum as recently as 2008.
I even linked an eBay auction back then mocking the dial & hinting it to be a frankenwatch - i asked jokingly if it had been designed by Krusty the clown ?
I can laugh at myself now but if anyone cares to relive the moment the forum became aware of this rare treasure then take a look at this thread from June 2008.

Thanks again to Mick for showing your early Carrera's - Darren
