In my humble opinion the Calibre 18 with the tasteful, tone-on-tone colored dial captures the spirit of the vintage Carrera pretty well. If I'd be into new watches (and could afford it), I would certainly have a closer look at this watch.
But I do have mixed feelings regarding the Calibre 6. I am not a big fan of the red highlights, anyway. I understand that all elements were meant to be centered on this dial, but to 'cut' the date window half-way into the only subdial really doesn't do it for me.
Of course, as with so many things in life, this is just a matter of personal taste ;-)
