Re: Crown for Old Heuer Diver ? Need help

Hi

Do you have any ideas on a replacement crown and/or tube for the regular size (non jumbo) 980.xxx series?

Considering the huge number of these M.R.P. case divers sold by Tag/Heuer and other brands I'm surprised it isn't easier to these bits. Maybe explains why I've seen a few with badly fit replacements!

Crown Diameter ~5mm
Crown Height ~3.5mm
Tube Outer ~2.5mm
Tube Height ~2.5mm

I have a couple of other divers using the same case and they have 3mm tubes like the jumbo case. Can't easily find crowns/tubes to that spec either.

The price of screwdown crowns means I'm probably better off waiting for a donor watch, but seems like a waste of a good case.

Thanks
