Re: Help identifying a mystery Heuer ????

more long lugs
http://www.chronomatic.com/rose.html

: DARREN :
: thats a very interesting watch you have found there !!!
: I am unable to identify it as a complete model but it has some very
: strong Heuer model charactoristics. The case is not a 2444. It
: looks closer to the style of a 2447 but that model was long
: discontinued before these style dials or dauphine hands came
: about in 61/62. What size is the case & what width lugs does
: it have ? Is the case Heuer marked ? Is there a ref number on
: either the backcase, inner backcase or between the lugs ?

: The dial also confuses me in terms of time as it has both mid 40's
: features ( the gold dots inset at 2,4,8 & 10 seen here on a
: triple calender from 1946
: http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Catalogs/1946_Brochure/ ) &
: 57-63 details such as the lume triangles. Further i have never
: seen a dial with 11,12,1 & 5,7 lume numbers. All these
: elements individually dont worry me but together they seem out
: of place.

: I have to ask how does the movement look ?
: Is it Ed.Heuer marker on the bridge ? Is there a number on that
: bridge ?

: Here are examples of 2444 catalog references

: Note that the lume numbers differ to your example in each year.

: In some odd way i think this watch may be a a put together of
: different Heuer parts from mis-matched decades. If the dial is
: genuine Heuer then its not one i've ever seen before. The other
: worry is that there were both Aristo & unbranded dials that
: look look very similar to your example. I'm trying to find
: examples to show you what i mean.

: Please give me the answers to the questions i asked & we will
: see if we can find outwhat you have.
