Winding Heuer Montreal

Hi, perhaps a silly question...

Just acquired a Heuer Montreal Cal 12 Bellof.

To manually wind it, (looking at crown) do I rotate clockwise? Counterclockwise? Feeling there is lots of resistance clockwise so I am not trying!
