How d'you like them apples?

Just playing around with a new lens. I debated getting a macro in the 90-100mm range but decided I wanted something more versatile so I got a 17-50mm f2.8 zoom (I am using a crop sensor so this equates to 27-80mm when shooting a 35mm film camera. I'm not sure if it's the lens I want because I don't like the manual focus ring - only about 40 degrees of throw, but after taking 15-20 shots indoors in harsh sunlight, it seems to focus pretty good by itself (I did use the LCD display to zoom in to my focus point to verify it was good).

Tipper wanted in on the fun.
