I read the Hodinkee article & i dont think they attacked you personally. They mentioned an exchange over an ebay offer but thats not to worry about.
They did however bring into question your watch which given its very unusual yellow hue i think its fair to question whats going on here. I would recommend full disclosure as your best weapon at this stage. Get your watchmaker to remove the movement/dial and take some quality macro photos so everyone can see in detail what has happened to the dial.
This forum is the perfect place to exchange ideas / theories on the watch & then you could use the wealth of information gathered as part of your description.
