I Believe TAG Heuer Would Be Happy with One-to-One Copy
In Response To: And the winner is ? ()

I believe that TAG Heuer would be happy producing an exact copy of one of the early Autavias. Remember that one of TAG Heuer's very first re-issues was the Carrera shown below.

TAG Heuer probably added the four Fantasy models to make the field deeper / the competition more interesting. They wanted 16 Autavias in the competition; start with the 12 historic models, and you really need to four Fantasy models to make the field more interesting. TAG Heuer does not have a GMT chronograph movement available, so it would have been difficult to add the last four models (13 through 16) from actual, historic models.

We are seeing that voters like the Panda models, whether the actual one (Reference 2446C SN) or the Fantasy creations.

: Yes, as i understand it, its'a knock-out. The best of each pair
: gets into the next round, so the winners of pair 1 and pair 2 in
: round 1 will be pair 1 in round 2...

: An therefore a 'phantasy' model will be among the last four, and i
: personally asssume this will be the model TAG will
: produce. Why? Because i think they don't want to produce a
: one-to-one copy of a vintage model.
