Re - I was at the sale last night and ....

It was a very entertaining show - a fantastic combination of excellent marketing, Aurel Bacs excellent auctioneering and a lot of very rich boys-for-toys egos vying each other. You only had to look at the Ferraris, Bentleys and Massaratis in parking lot at the hotel to realise something unusual was about to take place. The sale was all about Rolex and Patek but I really got the feeling that just for once the Heuers had been given a legitimate place at the top table. It also helped being at an amazing Spa hotel in Geneva and Phillips and the hotel really made everyone relaxed and feeling good, great bar, great cigar lounge, swimming pool, you could even excuse the one beer at CHF25!!
Also if the Petersen Heuer had been at Phillips it would have made so much more - sans doubt!
