Yes, it was about this time last Monday, that a few of us saw this strange sight . . . a blurry photo of a well-worn Autavia, with a silver dial and the "Wing and Wheel" logo, on a Facebook page that is itself kind of strange. The stars lined up right; the seller honored our handshake; and the rest is history.

I will be writing more about this one, as time permits.

: Fantastic to see this one surface again after I had the briefiest sniff at a possible purchase. Being across the pond was a distinct disadvantage but pleased for you all the same.

: There are a handful of watches from Heuer that truely are rare and this is certainly one.
