Re: Vintage Servicing at Tag Heuer

: Required work:
: Replace dial (must be correct original reference)
: Replace hands (...correct original reference)
: New crystal with tension ring (...correct original reference)
: Service movement
: Return of all parts that were replaced

: Work that must NOT be done:
: Do NOT polish case
: Do NOT replace crown or pushers

Good luck with these requests. TAG is not a vintage service center, they are set up to service new watches. What you are asking for is not going to happen IMO.

Further, the images you are referring to belong in the Archives of Heuer, not the service department. I highly doubt the two work together, and further doubt that they would give up historical parts to service a watch.

This is my opinion though, based on several past experiences. I related just a portion of the most recent experience which should be enough to convince you to avoid them at all cost. But again, this is just my .02. Personally I would consider your watch a donor watch, and try to find a better example. I just can't imagine the sum total of the parts you need don't exceed the value of a watch.
