I agree 100%. The pieces that were most interesting to me in the auction (2nd execution Autavia, Carrera 2447NST, Exotic Camaro) all lacked in condition and simply weren't worth bidding on. Add in the clunky "blind bid" process and there was just no reason to stretch. Instead, I opted to low-ball bids on two pieces on the final day, with no expectation of actually winning.

Great in theory, but just lacked in selection and auction execution, in my opinion. Furthermore, I wouldn't use it as a case study to draw many conclusions about the vintage Heuer market outside of the pieces that were truly Good/Excellent and desirable / rare.

Cheers,
Rob
