Reminder: Scan Day -- Competitors & Rivals

Just a quick reminder that Monday, March 7th is our next scan, with the suggested theme of "Competitors and Rivals".

As we suggested when we announced this Scan Day, there are lots of approaches you might take to this one:

  • you might want to post a pair of the dreaded rivals (Omega versus Heuer comes to mind)
  • a single watch that is the competitor of your favorite Heuer might be interesting -- maybe the Zenith El Primero that raced the Chrono-Matics to market back in 1969, or the Omega Seamasters and Speedmasters that were in the stores with the Carreras and Autavias
  • there are the friendly rivals -- maybe Autavia and Carrera, or pewter versus olive drab
  • what about the ones that had no rivals -- the Heuer Monaco
  • there are the classic rivalries -- manual versus automatic; stainless versus gold; vintage versus modern; black versus white; red versus blue
  • think about two of your watches that "compete" for wrist-time and your affection -- which are the two that "fight" to be worn?

These are just a few suggestions, and as always you can feel free to post something entirely off the theme. Scan Day is Monday, March 7th, but you can also feel free to post them earlier or later . . . whatever makes you happy!!

Thanks,

Jeff
