News from Omega -- #SpeedyTuesday Limited Edition

Big news today from Omega, regarding a limited edition Speedmaster Professional Speedy Tuesday, being offered as a tribute to the collectors community, that has made the #SpeedyTuesday hashtag so popular over the last five years. Congratulations especially to Robert-Jan Broer, the owner of Fratello Watches and the fist man to actually post his Speedmaster on a Tuesday!!

Here's an article on Fratello Watches, which originated the whole "Speedy Tuesday" thing -- OMEGA SPEEDMASTER SPEEDY TUESDAY LIMITED EDITION

And coverage on Hodinkee -- Introducing The Omega Speedmaster 'Speedy Tuesday' Limited Edition, Available Exclusively Through Instagram

In another hat-tip to social media, the watch will be sold only on Instagram. Believe it or not, the watch is already sold out!! That's right -- in just two or three hours. As one reader commented on Hodinkee -- "Now Omega is coming out with a watch based on a hashtag, announced on instagram, and available to order online! I think this is really good news."

OK folks . . . how do we get that OnTheDash Limited Edition Autavia? Of course, the worldwide following for the Speedmaster currently exceeds the following for the Autavia, but look at the progress that we have made over the last couple of years!!
