Re: And the Winner Is ? ? ? My Zenith
In Response To: And the Winner Is ? ? ? ()

I just think that the particular model I have is the nicest auto chronograph I own or have handled. With the Viceroy style cal.12 a close second, Heuer 501 pvd third.

The watch just isn't as deep as the others and looks like a normal watch. Don't get me wrong. I think Heuers' design attributes of range and detail are astonishing and would/could never be topped. The diversity in the micro rotor Autavia selection alone knocks every other manufacturer in to the'must try harder' bin.

It is a personal thing for me as a collector. I would love to have every Heuer but that would make me a collector of collections. If you like I apreciate different animals for different reasons not whole species.

At present I only own 4 chronographs,
The El Primero
A Porsche 7750
A UG val.72
and 1 other.

I have owned probably 20 of the nicest watches available and would like to get that Autavia val.92 back off you but that won't happen.

I don't have an issue with Heuer watches as they really are very good. I just posted because I happened to have the actual shots and did so for the good of the cause.

As for your Zenith problems I guess it is just that watch. The movement is very good.

Regards

Alistair
