You have a very interesting Carrera . . . it's actually a Reference 2448, being gold-plated (or perhaps gold-filled).

Serial number 58652 is just right for the polygon-back models and also in the middle of what seems to be a batch of these gold-plated models (although most of them seem to be two-register models).

I'm not the expert in the refinishing / replating process, but perhaps one of our experts can chime in.

In the meanwhile, enjoy this one as it is, and just imagine what might happen if it could tell some stories. Looks like it has spent some time on the wrist!!
