Re: Caliber 11 Colour Plate doubt...

Hi Luca, interesting topic you bring up. Lets start with the fact that its difficult to come up with absolutes when we discuss vintage Heuer, especially in regards to the various transitional models.
It is correct that the very first GMT's with the 1-24 marked bezels had modified Cal.11 movements. These were found in a very narrow serial range 205xxx. Here is my example which i happen to be wearing at the moment

Then we had a short run of red chrono needle GMT's and some of these also have the Cal.11 silver coloured movements. But after this the execution with the standard black register needles & even number bezels we see the gold coloured Cal.14 movements being the norm.
I dont recall ever seeing a GMT movement where the two colour schemes have been mixed. It could well be that during service / repair your movement has received donor parts. With your watch being a 225xxx serial my expectations is that it probably started life with a full gold coloured Cal.14 movement.

: I have noticed that my Autavia 1163 GMT serial 225xxx with a
: mouvement Cal.11 has a plate mouvement in two colurs:

: - The base plate in gold, and

: - The cronograph plate in silver

: Is it correct...

: I haven't found anything about it.

: Thanks for your support and have a nice weekend.
