Thanks Manuel, yes i have to agree the early ( lets say pre-62 ) models are really coming into the spotlight at the moment. I am unsure if its because the Heuer watches with a model name carry such a premium these days OR if there is a general shift from many collectors of many brands to reach back to the period 30’s-50’s ?
As to the history of my own watch ... err well , yes this watch is supposed to have come from the family of a WW2 Luftwaffe pilot but there is no way of knowing if it was issued or it was privately acquired. I must add the disclaimer that this information comes to me 2nd hand from the watchmaker i purchased it from. He told me he got it from the family of a pilot that had inherited it from their father.
