Autavia with Tachy on Dial / Elephant in Room

Regarding the discussion below, about the authenticity of the "Tachy on Dial" Autavias, being sold by Christie's and on eBay . . . we all know that there's an elephant in the room. For some years now, there have been rumors of boxes of the loose dials. So whether there were 10 watches that left the factory as "Tachy on Dial" Autavias . . . or 20 or 50 . . . it's the overhang of these dozens of loose dials that has the market concerned / suspicious.

With this overhang of loose dials, I wonder how the market would value a "Tachy on Dial" that had a perfect pedigree / provenance back to the 1960s?

And, yes, owning a genuine "Indianapolis Motor Speedway" Autavia, I have the same concerns about the "overhang" of loose dials and recently-made IMS Autavias. In a world in which few things are "neutral", having the overhang of loose dials is not a "positive" for the value of the authentic watches, that were actually made by Heuer. I believe that the loose dials and recently-made watches, even when they are easily identified, have a negative impact on the market. And in many instances, they will not be easily identified.
