I’m just too excited to wait until Friday to post this. My new Carrera 2447s, something for which I’ve been longing for a time now. An untampered, all original, honest piece-serial 68xxx.

As with many of these watches it has a story and a history. Briefly, it was inherited from the first-owner uncle, then the seller tells me

‘….the watch has been trekking around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, up the highest mountain in South America (where it was rescued by helicopter!), and has even done a bungee jump. If it could speak it could tell a few good stories, I can assure you of that Steve!’.

It was subsequently lost for some years and then re-found in an old soup can where it has been ‘hidden away for safe-keeping’. What a life. I can’t wait to make many more adventures with my new chum.
