1960s Pre-Carreras / Numerous References

There are numerous models and styles of Heuers, that tend to get lumped into the "pre-Carrera" category. You inquire about the 1960's pre-carreras, but I believe that we can be more helpful if you can provide some additional information:

  • stainless steel or chrono-plated (or maybe gold or gold-plated)?
  • two registers or three?
  • small (say, 34 mm) or larger (say, 38 mm).

There are a lot of great choices out there, and if you give us some parameters, we should be able to provide some assistance / recommendations.

: Hello Jeff,

: Many thanks. It is an education to get this perspective and is
: really helping a newcomer like me to the world of watches. If I
: may ask you and other forum members for guidance, what is a good
: price range for a 60s pre-Carrera; what should be a an
: approximate budget? I would be grateful for your guidance.

: Best wishes
