Re: Project: Heuer Carrera 3647N
In Response To: Project: Heuer Carrera 3647N ()

: The dial, movement and caseback is in very good condition. The
: crown is not signed, might be correct.
Yes, the early watches typically have unsigned crowns so this is fine.
: The hands are wrong.
: Subdial hands: looks like the oneĀ“s from a 6263 Daytona.
: Center-chrono hand is too short - looks like one from a Yema
: Chronograph.
: Minute and hour hand are both too short - might be from another
: Carrera model?
I agree. They're probably from a Carrera with a scale, where the minute hand falls short of the scale itself.
: Case: Seems to have been polished a long time ago. No ref. number
: or serialnumber is visible.

: Any Heuer experts here who might assist me too source parts? I have
: a contact in Norway, Jarl. Who has helped me quite a bit, but no
: luck in sourcing parts yet.
It can be a long hard search but all the more rewarding when it does happen. Jarl's a good guy, he'll help if he can.

Nice buy regardless of a few borrowed hands though, it's a handsome watch.
