A seldom seen 18K Heuer from mid 1980s Transition Period

VERY RARE Heuer ref. 988 013 diving watch in solid 18K gold case and bracelet. This model was produced by Heuer Co. in the mid 1980s just about when the company was purchased by Tag. The watch has a very interesting glass like bezel insert. The “nipple” dial is almost a copy of Rolex GMT gold model from 1960s to mid 1980s. Case measures 39.6 mm by 44.7 mm. Screw in crown and screw in case back. Another good feature is that the bracelet attaches to the case with gold screws, not spring bars!
