The dial being off-brand means the watch takes a hit to value for me, sometimes a significant hit.

As Jeff said, scarcity does not always equate to value. An Uhrmacher Solothurn 1153 is not worth more to me than a Heuer-marked example, despite its relative rarity. The same, I’m afraid, holds true for a Glycine Carrera Dato 12. In fact, the dial not being marked Carrera, even on Heuer examples, is already a negative for me.
