"Well, I think quite good news. Heuer market has settled down a bit at a realistic level. It went all too strong too fast, pulling in a lot of questionable people. In the past year a lot of speculators and money focussed dealers left the Heuer ship...which is a good thing. A lot of them got a bit burned too, mainly because lack of knowledge. Time for us passionates again to play around, enjoying a healthy market again."

I agree with this sentiment. The rise in values of watches like the 1960s Autavias and the Skipperrera was unprecedented . . . went up too high, too fast, and brought some speculators into the market.

If we can't be happy with the Rindts in the $15,000 to $20,000 range, and Skipperreras in the $60,000 to $80,000 range (for the nice ones), then perhaps our our perspectives have been distorted by the "bubble" that we witnessed. Seems that the bubble has not burst, but if it has given back 20% to 30% of the run-up, that might be healthy.
