Re: Your Favorite Watch Purchase of 2018... *PIC*

In 2018 I purchased only one watch. I have been searching a long time for a Monaco 1133B for a reasonable price. A dealer in Belgium offered one with photos showing the watch in fairly bad light and only from the outside. My lokal watchmaker was very sceptical about the movement. Well I could not resist and and purchased the watch.

After receiving it looked much better than on the dealer photos. Signs of wear but still sharp edges. But when we opened the case - what a surprise: Caliber 12 in perfect condition. No signs of corrosion and even no scratches at bold heads. My watchmaker made a full service. In between I bought an NOS NSA band and a Corfam style leather band for the Monaco.

This watch has been most of the years on my wrist. Even when I was travelling in China, US and EU.
Looking to this watch always makes me smiling.
