A small correction...
In Response To: Thanks, but be Careful ()

In the end, the nightmare image of the second hand "clicking" in whole seconds instead of "sweeping" in 1/5ths was more than I could handle, so I decided to pass.

A small correction... The c.185 quartz movement (if that's what is under the caseback on this example) "ticks" in 1/2 second increments, not whole second increments. At least if my Pilot's model's are any indication. A small point, but...

You should be careful -- if you keep telling us how great these quartz chronos can be, the "price of poker" may go up.

That's the double-edged sword in what we are doing. I've had people tell me, don't write about anything you hope to obtain because you will create interest, interest means increased demand, higher prices, lower supply.

In the end, I've choosen to be "Open Source" with my knowledge and I feel it is the better road to travel, for it has been a much more enjoyable journey than it otherwise would have been.
