A super rare Heuer has surfaced on ebay !

I start off by stating i have no affiliation what so ever with the seller !

Here's an external link that offers a lot of Heuer Bundeswehr information

Basically this watch was originally geared to read star time , not the 24:00 hour days we regularly use for telling time. I can tell you that the case reference numbers are correct for this model watch ( ie. 1551 SGSZ ) as opposed to the regular watches model designation of 1550 SG.
The seller states that upto 50 examples were made but i understood the numbers to be as low as 20 units. It is also true that some of the decommissioned original models had their movements modified back to "earth" time for regular use. I have seen complete sets sell with their leather folder and star charts in the past but this one doesn't seem to have them.
As for price , i would say the seller has set it more than just optimistically high at this stage but i would expect the offers to start rolling in soon as this is one of the rare watches that Military Watch collectors persue. Being so rare i dont know what sort of premium i would place on this one as it is not set to star time and the matching starchart does not accompany it.

Its not on everyone's wish list but may be of interest to someone on our forum.
Good luck - Darren
