Scan Weekend (Feb 6 - 9): Store Them, Stash Them & Show Them

Earlier in January, one of our members, Chris Lichauco, electrified the world of watch collecting with a posting showing his “Watch Room”, a room that he built to store and display his amazing watch collection. This posting broke all the records for our discussion forum (and probably many other discussion forums), with over 26,000 views.

While most of us keep our watches in less glamorous environments, I thought that it would be fun to have a scan weekend on the theme of “Where do you store them, stash them and show them?” We ask that you show us where you keep your watches, whether it’s the sock drawer or a dedicated display case or trophy room.

Here are some “prompts” that you might consider:

  • Show us where you store your watches? Post photos of the room, the shelf, the case, the box, etc.
  • Do you have favorite accessories on display with your watches – signs, stickers, boxes, books, tools or posters?
  • What is the favorite storage device – box, roll, bag, case, etc.?
  • How do you carry your watches, if you are going to a get together? Or when you travel?
  • Anything else about your storage or display that might be interesting?
We will run the scan weekend from Friday, February 6, through Monday, February 9, so this will allow you a few days to straighten out your collection or clean up your sock drawer!! As always, we will be flexible about the start and finish times, so you can post the photos at your convenience. Be sure to use a good subject line telling what we will be seeing.

Looking forward to seeing some fantastic displays of watches, wherever you might keep them!!

Jeff
