Hi Jeff, your new tripod head is very nice, I hope you get a lot of use from it, a good steady tripod is essential for taking good pics, I would to thank you for your invitation to contribute to the forum, in your post to me, you asked me to post some pics of my setup, well here's one of my latest acquisitions, a 1960's vintage Linhof studio stand originally designed for large format cameras up to 20x16, this will hold ANY camera steady, I bought it on the bay to use with a 10x8 Sinar that I have.....
This is the current setup I use....a Cambo studio stand with 2x 500w halogen lights on stands....a perspex shooting table....a circular diffusing dome (this gives completely flat diffused lighting ) ...and various other permutations using opaque perspex.....with a Minolta Dimage 7i..circular polarising filter.......black background cloth....etc etc!........please excuse the quality of the photos...they were taken with a small snapper....
