Muchas
: gracias.

First a translation...
Hi, this is my first time writing in this forum. I bought a Seamaster Auto chronometer, and it gains 15 seconds every day. This seems like alot for a watch of this price. In the jewelry store where I bought it, they told me that it will start to keep better time once it "settles in" (after about two or three weeks). In the event that they have to service it, it would lose it's watertightness. How much is a normal gain/loss for this type of watch? Thanks a lot.

Nest in English... The testing performed by the Official Swiss Chronometer Commission (COSC) certifies that the watch will be accurate, gaining less than 6 seconds per day or losing less than 4 seconds per day; A new certified chronometer should be within this range. A gain of 15 seconds per day is excessive; The watch is not adjusted properly and should be serviced by your dealer, free of charge. When this service is performed, the seals should be replaced; This process should not affect the water resistance of your watch! Be sure that your jewelry store is an Omega Authorized Dealer, who is able to properly performing this service; An Omega Authorized Dealer will be able to perform this service without harming the water resistance of the watch. My Seamaster Professional (Automatic) loses approximately 2 seconds per day.
