: Would anyone be able to recomend a NY/NJ/CT
: authorised dealer who provided good service
: and competitive pricing on a new Omega
: purchase?

Check out Martinique Jewelers in Times Sq. They lost their lease after 50 yrs and are closing. I think they may have already closed the Times Sq. location. Major discounts at the closing store -- I bought an SMP auto for $1,200. I absolutely love it. It works great (2mos later). I did my homework (thanks to this site) and couldn't be happier. At one point I wanted the Sub, not now!

Martinque has another shop on 9th ave, I think. Check the yellow pgs. They also provided an additional 1 yr warranty. Other than them, I checked out the variety of stores on 47th street and the deals aren't as good, they are not authorized dealers, and they charge xtra if you want a serial no.'d watch. Other than that I noticed several Jewelers in the malls around CT were clueless on pricing and the salespeople would have been better off selling sweaters at the gap.
