Restoration enquiry.

I noticed at the Omega site that as well as offering standard "servicing" there is also a "restoration" service on offer. Has anyone had any experience with this proceedure? Is any one service centre (from the worldwide network) going to do a better job? It seems like the watch gets a fairly good going over, and I wonder if this means the proceedure is exorbitantly expensive. I have a '68 Goldtopped Seamaster that has been recently serviced (new crown, strap, crystal, date-ring, bearings and seals). It still doesn't seem to be performing its best though - stops occasionly when the date starts changing, and the second variance between 'fully wound' and daily normal wearing seems to be too great (45 seconds or so). Can anyone give me a rough idea on what the restoration proceedure might cost? And any opinions from anyone who has had it done would be appreciated.
Thanks, John.
